This is such an iconic location to come listen to excellent music.
We wanted to see Xian Chang during the Summer for the City event going on these few months.
It was absolutely incredible seeing this massive theater and iconic halls. Every seat has a fantastic view of the area and allows for a perfect experience.
They do have an outside bar where you can buy drinks and snacks.
They don’t do physical programs anymore, however there are QR codes near the doors to allow you to pull up programs for the event going on that night.
I highly suggest coming here if you want to experience a once (or more) in a lifetime musical performance that will take your breath away!
Among my favorite spots in New York City. performances of classical music by a variety of ensembles, performers, amateurs, and youth orchestras. Large room with good acoustics. They also have a pretty lovely waiting area for the entertainers.
One of my favorite places in NYC. Classical performances from various groups, artists, amateurs and youth orchestra. Nice acoustic and wide space. Their waiting room for the performers are very nice, too.
I saw Natalie Merchant the other night. Beautiful venue and very clean/comfortable seats.
An acoustical marvel. The best sound experience is had from seats in the Orchestra rows after E. But I liked the view from my box where I could see the orchestra players which included a DJ for an experimental opera. Intimate performance space (1100 seats) - and the design makes you feel like you’re sitting in a very posh spaceship.
Delightful acoustics, comfortable seating. Enjoyable Chamber Music programming.
This was a beautiful venue! I sae Florence and the Machine there. Staff were courteous and helpful. Security and ticket lines moved very quickly. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. The seats were comfortable with sufficient legroom. Would definitely see another event at this venue!
Smaller recital hall being used for the NY Philharmonic while David Geffen Hall is being renovated. One big orchestra section of seating without middle rows, small seats. Good acoustics & visibility.
I attended a concert by the Juliard prep orchestra. The sound was amazing, the high school kids in the orchestra were incredibly dedicated and good.
I'm 6'3" and of normal build. The legroom was ample but on the other hand, the seats are not sufficiently wide for comfort during a two hour program. The COVID-19 protocol of masking while inside the hall and proof of full vaccination is very much appreciated by this senior citizen. Two final points - the acoustics are good but there isn't enough washroom capacity.
